Dances of Universal Peace and a Community Picnic
Saturday, September 16th - 12 Noon to 4pm
Please join us for a celebration of the Autumn Equinox in the cool beauty of the pine forest at the Groom Creek School House, Prescott, AZ.We will begin at noon with Dances of Universal Peace. There will also be a break to enjoy each other's company. Bring snacks!
Donations: Suggested donation $10 per person, but all are welcome regardless of ability to pay.
Directions to Groom Creek Schoolhouse:
Directions to Prescott from the North: Take I-17 south to the Highway 169 (Cherry Road) exit and turn right. Continue on 169 to Dewey, where it meets Highway 69 at a T intersection. Turn right onto Highway 69 and follow it into Prescott. Highway 69 turns into Gurley Street, which goes into downtown Prescott.
From W. Sedona: Take 89-A west to Cottonwood. Turn left at the first stop light in Cottonwood, onto highway 260. Follow 260 to I-17, and turn right (South) onto the highway.
From Village of Oak Creek: Take Highway 79 south to I-17 and turn right (South) onto the Highway.
From Gurley Street in central Prescott: Turn South on Senator Highway (AKA Mount Vernon Ave.) and go 6.1 miles. The turn-off for the Schoolhouse and parking is on the left. Carpooling recommended.
From Phoenix, Arizona: Take I-17 north for 61.8 miles. Take exit 262 toward Cordes Junction/Prescott. Merge onto State Route 69 west and follow for 33.8 miles. At the split, take the ramp for Route 89 south. Turn slight left onto East Gurley Street/89 and follow for about 0.8-mile. Turn left at Mt. Vernon Street (aka Senator Hwy) and continue for 6.1 miles. The turnoff for the schoolhouse and parking is on the left.
