This connection with Molly and Faith Bridge has inspired me to collect and post information about inclusive service organizations, places of worship and spiritual activities in the Sedona / Cottonwood / Verde Valley areas. All people welcome. Coming out of a conditioned dream into waking life is the most beautiful and important experience a human can have. But this process is not without some confusion and challenges. We are awakening into what may seem an entirely different world. It is beneficial to share this experience with others who are going
through the same process if only to realize we are not doing this alone. Living Awake Groups meet both online and at the Zendo of the Awakened Heart in Sedona, Arizona. Groups usually meet once a week for about two hours. The online Living Awake Satsang meets every Saturday at noon, Arizona Time. The Sedona Satsang meets every Monday at 7:00 pm at the Sedona Zendo of the Awakened Heart. There is a suggested donation of $10 but no one turned away. If you’re interested in attending a Living Awake Group Satsang either online or at the Zendo in Sedona, add your name and email to the form on this webpage. N-lightenment website: n-lightenment.com |
THE CHURCH OF THE RED ROCKS (ONA)
Rev. Dr. Lawrence Corbett (IN) Ginger Willetts, Administrative Assistant Dr. Ryan Holder, Music Director 54 Bowstring Drive Sedona, AZ 86336 Phone: 928-282-7963 Office: [email protected] Website: www.churchoftheredrocks.com CHAPEL OF THE HOLY CROSS
780 Chapel Rd, Sedona, AZ 86336-7064 TAIZE PRAYER SERVICE every Monday @ 5pm (approx. 45 minutes) Arrive early for parking! Contact Elizabeth McGinnis, Music Director: email Taize is a prayer service, begun in France in 1940 by a group of Christian Brothers with the intention to foster understanding and unity among all the Christian denominations. It is a non-denominational service but it does have a Catholic “flavor.” It is not a Catholic mass. It is a beautiful service, mostly chant-like music, which includes prayer, a scripture reading, a brief time of silent meditation, and an opportunity for everyone to light a candle and take it to the altar. There is much beauty and love there. The building and the setting are quite beautiful. It is an international tourist and pilgrimage destination, so there are people from all over the world who come there for the service. As this is a Chapel and not a Church, there is no membership, and all people are welcome. (Please note this description was written by Shakura, a member of the choir there, and is not an official statement of Chapel of the Holy Cross. It is based on my own experience.)
