We are so happy to invite you to this Dances of Universal Peace Event
Holding Hands, Holding Hearts

with Special Guest Dance Leader Shivadam


Sunday August 16th – 3 to 4:30 pm 
 Studio B, 633 N. 5th St. at Main, Cottonwood



We invite you to join us for a special DUP Dance led by our dear friend Shivadam, a multi-talented Dance Leader and Mentor who has led dance camps and retreats all over the US and many other countries. 

“We come together to share joy, fellowship, and support in our circle of song, dance and sacred phrase. Our hands become extensions of our hearts as we join hand-in-hand in a circle of love and support.” ~Shivadam

Shivadam is a certified Dance leader and mentor and representative of the Sufi Ruhaniat. He has led Dances of Universal Peace since 2007 in circles, camps, retreats and events across the mainland US, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, India, Brazil, and Chile, and the Parliament of the World's Religions. He hosted nine consecutive Dance camps in Arizona. Since early 2020, Shivadam has led 2 weekly meetings on Zoom, and he is leading the first-ever all-Spanish circle in North America for the Hispanic community. He has served two terms on the Board of Dances of Universal Peace North America and managed both the DUP North America and DUP International websites. Leading kirtan and zikr, and with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Hindi and Sanskrit, Shivadam brings decades of musical/spiritual practice and travels into his leadership style. Shivadam is also a visual artist and likes to write and repair musical instruments.

The Dances of Universal Peace are spiritual practice in motion. Drawing on the sacred phrases, teachings and poetry of many worldwide spiritual traditions, the Dances blend music, singing and movement into a living experience of Unity, Peace, Harmony and Healing. These simple circle dances are all taught as we do them.  
 
Live Music  /  Suggested donation $10 – No one turned away.
